Presented by Versa Business Systems, our golden anniversary of uplifting Charm City icons called for an equally iconic celebration—and we didn’t hold back. Vibes were high at M&T Bank Stadium on August 14 as thousands of Baltimoreans strutted across the red carpet in their golden hour best in honor of our 50th Best of Baltimore issue.

Drinks flowed like waterfalls. Bites by more than 30 of the area’s leading chefs awakened our senses. Buttery smooth jazz by Love Groove Band, dance floor-worthy hits by Rick and the Revolving Doors, and bangers by a festival-style lineup of DJs curated by Love Groove Festival set the tone for a high-octane night.

We toasted to today’s influential residents featured in our annual compendium, yesterday’s icons who paved the way for a better Baltimore, and tomorrow’s trailblazers who will lead us into 50 more epic years of living in and loving the Greatest City in America.
